A locally-produced booklet isolating just the Paulding County chapter of Henry Howe’s Historical Collections of Ohio — the full statewide volume is linked at Historical Collections of Ohio, Vol. II. The chapter begins around page 374 of the original and covers county geography and streams, and includes Howe’s “Sketch of John Paulding” — the county’s namesake, one of the three militiamen who captured Major André during the Revolutionary War.
